This course has been approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Occupational Licensing as a means of obtaining continuing education unit (CEU) hours for Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) Corrective Action Project Managers (CAPMs). The TCEQ is responsible for enforcing state and federal laws governing regulated petroleum storage tanks (PSTs) to prevent releases to the environment. A PST system is one that contains petroleum or a mixture of petroleum with minor quantities of other regulated substances.  This includes underground storage tanks (UST) and aboveground storage tanks (AST). This course covers registration and renewal requirements for CAPMs. It also provides overview of UST systems, their operation, and release detection. Lastly, it covers unsuspected and confirmed releases and the requirements for investigating and reporting releases from PSTs. At the end of the course, a 20-question exam will be administered. You must achieve a score of 75% to receive your certificate.
