TAIT participated today in the stakeholder’s conference call with the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshall (OSFM) to discuss the proposed UST operator training regulations. Overall the consensus during the meeting was in favor of the proposed regulations. The OSFM anticipates to publish the proposed operator training regulations to the Illinois Register within in 30–60 days. At that time the rule making process will take an additional 6 months before rule approval and adoption occurs. The proposed regulations are available for review. Any questions or comments to the stakeholder’s meeting and to the current proposed set of rules should be made in writing immediately by email to [email protected] by end of business day today (5pm CST) March 10, 2011, in order for your comments to be considered in the rule making process.
