The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has issued a new Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS) Inspection Handbook, which establishes guidance for Division of Environmental Remediation (DER) staff on conducting an inspection at a PBS facility. This handbook addresses inspections for both underground and aboveground storage tank systems at these PBS facilities. This is a must have for owner and operators of USTs and ASTs in New York State. In addition to the handbook, the New York State PBS Inspection form is available on the NYSDEC website.
